Eating on campus

While meals are not included in the J-Day registration fee, there are several dining options both on and off campus.

The Atrium
Located conveniently in the Art and Journalism Building, The Atrium offers two national chains, Chic-Fil-A and Sbarro, as well as a variety of other options, such as McKinley Grille, Caliente, Block and Barrel Deli, and Atrium Creations.

Woodworth Commons
Offers brick oven pizza, lasagna, burgers, paninis, a Mongolian barbeque, chicken and noodles and custom spun salads.

Noyer Center
Choose from salads, grilled items like burgers and chicken sandwiches, paninis and macaroni and cheese.

Off Campus
The Village is located about 10 minutes' walk from the center of campus, and features chain restaurants like Jimmy John's, Pita Pit and Subway, as well as local favorites like Scotty's,The Locker Room, Greek's PIzza, the MTCup and Creole Kid.

 

High School J-Day

Our 2009 High School Journalism Day was a wonderful success. More than 1,600 high school students and advisers visited campus on Friday, April 24, 2009, for a day filled with a keynote speech and more than 60 breakout sessions.
