Student workshops

The Ball State Journalism Workshops have undergone some major changes over the last couple of years that include a wider array of course offerings, specialty sessions, social activities and staff meetings.

Attending our workshops could be one of the best decisions you've made in your journalistic career. Not only will you gain insight and experience in a specific area of journalism, but you'll also be taught by some of the country's most talented and award-winning publications advisers and journalists.

DN Experience Deadline Extended! Want to get a jump start on working for college media? That's exactly what students will get during the Daily News Experience. You'll spend a week working as staff members of the nationally award-winning Ball State Daily News. You'll cover the campus and community news. And at the end of the week, you'll publish a real issue of the newspaper. This is a competitive program open only to high school juniors and seniors.
